Most of the necklaces are made with sterling silver wire, stringing wire, or Memory wire coil. The coil allows freedom of clasps. It fits most sizes, keeps it’s shape under normal wear, is comfortable, and can be put on without any assistance, or fumbling with a clasp. It’s great if you suffer from arthritis. I also use handmade Bali Silver clasps, as well as the ornate pewter ones to fit the style of the necklace.
The wire wrapped necklaces are very unique and time consuming to create, a true labor of love. They can be custom ordered by color and/or symbol.
My necklaces are made of lead free crystals (with the exception of Swarovski), gemstones, mineral stones, etc. Most are natural colors, although some stones may be color enhanced. Many pieces have freshwater, cultured pearls in them. Others have South Seas Shell Pearls (organic), which give the look of real South Seas and Tahitian pearls, without the very high prices.
